Are you serious?nobody cares about their inventory, they don't get paid per gift-card they sell. A managers best day is one where he walks into his store and finds all his merchandise has been lifted from the store, preferably by his staff, that way he knows all the goods went to good homes, and are really being enjoyed.look at it this way, would you rather have some shmuck come into your store and actually BUY his kid an xbox live card when his kid won't even use it, or have someone you know well enough and you trust enough to have given them a job take it off your hands for FREE! Obviously any good manager would prefer the later, free is always better! Nobody cares about their inventory? Are you serious?
Inventory is how a company make money. A mangers best day? I have seem a few employees (3 years in retail) leave the store in hand cuffs because they were stealing. Who does want free stuff, however 1.
Cards must be activated at the checkout, 2. I don't get paid on commission, but I have rather have someone buy something them steal it. They are basically stealing from me.
At the company I work for we all get a 'bonus' if we do well if we are under our goal for theft for the end of the month. So check this out.
